OUR STORY

Jhasiim, also affectionately known as "Jha,” began baking in her mother's kitchen at the age of thirteen.  She practiced using her mom's Betty Crocker cookbook and even mimicked local recipes and baked goods offering them to her family and friends who raved about how good her confections tasted. 

 

She became a teen mom at the tender age of sixteen and took the plunge to make her son's first birthday cake.  It was then her passion began to grow.   She conducted research and learned tips, tricks, and techniques.  After a while, that was not enough to quench the creative fire that rose within her for the Confectionary Arts. She sought out and gained hands-on experience volunteering her time with an older friend who was a cake decorator. She encouraged her to pursue her dream of becoming a cake decorator. Jha wasted no time!  She took a leap of faith and signed up for classes leading to a certificate in Baking and Pastry from Escoffier, an online culinary school.

The abundance of knowledge gained, deepen her passion, and Jha's Pastry Studio was created.  This pastry studio offers a variety of confections to include custom cakes, pastries, desserts and sweet treats all made from scratch using the highest quality ingredients.
